Alexis Beatty, MD
Alexis L. Beatty, M.D., is a cardiologist and health services researcher at VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle and an assistant professor in the UW Department of Medicine.
Dr. Beatty earned her Doctor of Medicine from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and trained in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and preventive cardiology, and earned a Master of Advanced Studies in clinical research at University of California, San Francisco.
Her clinical interests include cardiovascular disease prevention, cardiac rehabilitation, digital health and echocardiography. Her research interests include cardiac rehabilitation, digital health, health services, implementation science, quality of care, health outcomes, clinical trials and epidemiology.
Dr. Beatty believes the best way to improve patients' cardiovascular health is by helping them understand cardiovascular health, engage in self-management and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
