Social Worker, Transplant Service, Department of Social Work, University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle, WA. 1996 – Present

Provide Social work services to organ transplant patients at UWMC that include pre-transplant psychosocial evaluation, case management services throughout transplantation process, as well as help post-transplant patients to manage issues related to insurance coverage, mental health, substance abuse, disability, and return to work. Also assist heart failure patients in outpatient clinic as needed. Organize and facilitate support groups for pre- and post-transplant patients and family. Provide on-call weekend coverage for emergent liver transplant assessment, and support to weekend social worker. Serve as a practicum instructor for School of Social Work at UW.

 

Emergency Room Social Worker, Swedish Medical Center, Seattle, WA. 2004 – present

Provide social work services in the emergency room of all four campuses. Responsibilities include psychosocial assessments, substance abuse evaluations, domestic violence and abuse assessment and providing appropriate referrals and resources.

 

Medical Ethicist, University of Washington Medical Center, Seattle, WA. 2001 – 2014

Served as a member of Ethics Consultation Service as well as Medical Ethics Advisory Committee providing ethics consultations to inpatient and outpatient services.
