Anne Larson, FACP, MD

Dr. Larson is the clinic chief of the UW Medicine/Northwest Hepatology Clinic and a UW clinical professor of medicine. She is a nationally recognized clinician, researcher and lecturer, the author of numerous peer-reviewed publications, and is recognized as a leader in the field of hepatology.

Dr. Larson will be seeing all types of liver patients and has a strong interest in promoting customized treatment plans. This includes liver disease management, medical and surgical options and working closely with the UW liver transplant team.

Dr. Larson earned her bachelor’s degree, M.D and internal medicine residency training from the University of Washington. She completed her gastroenterology fellowship at the University of California San Diego, and returned to the University of Washington for her hepatology fellowship.

After nearly 11 years on the faculty at the University of Washington, she traveled to the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, where she was the medical director of the Liver Transplantation Program and Clinical Hepatology. She returned to Seattle in 2011 and was the director of the Liver Center at Swedish Medical Center.

She is board certified in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology. She is a fellow of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Physicians. She is a member of the American Society of Transplantation.
