Bruce Sangeorzan, M.D. is is a UW professor of orthopedics and sports medicine and the Director of the VA Center Of Excellence in Limb Loss Prevention and Prosthetic Engineering.
Dr. Sangeorzan earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Michigan and doctor of medicine degree from Wayne State University in Detroit where he also completed his residency before coming to the University of Washington for a fellowship in orthopedic traumatology and a second in foot and ankle reconstruction.
Dr. Sangeorzan's clinical interests include deformities of the foot and ankle; sports injuries or major trauma to the feet and/or ankles; arthritis; and disorders of the ligaments and tendons. He and his team provide three functions to patients: To educate about the disorder, inform rehabilitation strategies and provide surgical treatment.
