Christopher Herndon, MD

Christopher Herndon, MD

Christopher Herndon, M.D. is Assistant Professor and Associate Medical Director of the IVF program at UW. He is board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Herndon earned his M.D. degree with honors at Yale University and completed residency training at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital at Harvard University. He underwent fellowship training at UCSF in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

His clinical interests include infertility, assisted reproduction, endocrinologic disorders, oncofertility and conceptual management of HIV serodiscordance. His research interests include health disparities, access to care, and medical education.

Dr. Herndon brings to his scientific background an uncommon focus and commitment toward making high quality infertility services more accessible to all individuals in the community. He has founded and led clinics to provide access to care for less affluent communities as well as worked to develop simplified and less costly approaches to IVF. Recognized as an early leader in the movement to expand access to fertility care, Dr. Herndon has been invited to serve on several international working groups, including at the World Health Organization.
