Danny Dvir, M.D., is a cardiologist specializing in structural heart interventions. He is internationally recognized as an expert in evaluating and treating prosthetic heart valves, including valve-in-valve therapy.
Dr. Dvir was trained in internal medicine and cardiology in Israel. Subsequently, he completed cardiac intervention fellowship training at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in the District of Columbia, and trained in non-invasive strategies for the treatment of heart valves at the Center for Heart Valve Innovation at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia.
His clinical interests include cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary intervention, structural heart interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement and treatment of failed prosthetic heart valves.
Dr. Dvir has extensive experience in clinical research and lab testing of heart valves, having led numerous international research collaborations. His main research focus is transcatheter valve implantation and valve-in-valve therapy.
