David Tirschwell, MD
UW Professor of Neurology
Dr. Tirschwell is a professor of neurology, medical director of Comprehensive Stroke Care at the UW Medicine Stroke Center at Harborview and program director of the Stroke Fellowship.
Dr. Tirschwell has been providing care for stroke and general neurology inpatients and outpatients at Harborview Medical Center for more than 20 years.
Dr. Tirschwell received his bachelor’s degree at Wesleyan University followed by his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and a master’s of science in epidemiology from the University of Washington. His internship in internal medicine, residency in neurology and Stroke Fellowship were all completed at the UW.
Dr. Tirschwell is board certified in both general neurology and vascular neurology and is a fellow of the American Heart Association, the American Academy of Neurology and the American Neurological Association.
