Don Creighton, MD

Don Creighton, MD

Creighton W. Don, M.D., M.P.H., is a board certified cardiologist at UW Medical Center's Cardiac Clinic and a UW associate professor of Cardiology and Medicine. Dr. Don strives to create active partnerships with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes. 

 

Dr. Don earned his M.D. at the UW and his M.P.H. at UC San Francisco. He is triple board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. His clinical and research interests include interventional and diagnostic cardiology, cardio-protective effects of niacin and cell and biologic therapies for atherosclerotic coronary artery disease not amenable to revascularization.

 

He is experienced with percutaneous treatment for valvular heart disease, particularly transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral balloon valvuloplasty, and transcatheter pulmonic valve replacement. He specializes in structural and congenital heart disease including catheter based treatment of atrial and ventricular septal defects. patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), paravaluvlar leaks, and coronary fistulae. He is also experienced in the management of acute coronary syndromes (heart attacks), percutaneous coronary interventions (coronary angioplasty and stenting), and chronic angina.
