Fuki Marie Hisama, MD

Fuki Marie Hisama, MD

Fuki Marie Hisama, M.D., is medical director of the Genetic Medicine Clinic at the University of Washington, Seattle. Dr. Hisama is a clinical geneticist. She evaluates patients who have genetic conditions or have genetic conditions in their family. She was named a "Top Doctor" by Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.

Dr. Hisama earned her M.D. at the University of Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency and fellowship training in neurology and genetics at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut. She is one of a small group of individuals who hold dual board-certification in both specialties.

Dr. Hisama’s clinical interests include cancer genetics, cardiac genetics, autism genetics, pediatric and adult neurogenetics, precision medicine and genomic medicine. She conducts research on genomic medicine, neurogenetics and genetics of premature aging syndromes.
