Gloria Von Geldern, MD

Gloria Von Geldern, MD

Dr. von Geldern is a neurologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, neuromyelitis optica and other neuroimmunological diseases. She believes that it is important to equip patients to better deal with a chronic neurologic disease through clear and detailed information and careful assessment of all aspects of life.

Dr. von Geldern is a UW assistant professor of neurology. She earned her M.D. from Leipzig University in Germany. After a neurology residency and neuroimmunology research in Dusseldorf, Germany, she completed a neurology residency at the University of Washington. She then pursued specialized training in neuroimmunology with a fellowship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. She is board certified in neurology and has been certified as MS specialist by the Consortium of MS Centers.
