Jeffrey Tsai, MD
Assistant Professor of Neurology
Dr. Tsai is an attending physician at the Harborview Regional Epilepsy Center and an UW assistant professor of neurology. He specializes in medical and surgical management of epilepsy in adult patients.
He also conducts research on imbalance between excitatory and inhibitory brain activities, a hallmark of epilepsy. He is interested in how these changes affect other brain functions in addition to causing seizures, and to identify better ways to diagnose epilepsy. Dr. Tsai earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University, master’s from Stanford University, Ph.D. and M.D. from Cornell University. He completed internship in Santa Clara, CA, and neurology residency at the University of Colorado at Denver, and epilepsy fellowship at University of California-San Francisco. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society, and the Society for Neuroscience.
