John Miller, MD
Dr. Miller is director of the UW Regional Epilepsy Center and a UW professor of neurology and neurological surgery. He is a neurologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of seizures and epilepsy, particularly in patients whose condition has been resistant to standard treatments.
Dr. Miller earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago, and his M.D. from the University of Illinois. He did his neurology training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and fellowship training in EEG, epilepsy and neuropharmacology at the Mayo Clinic and at Washington University in St. Louis.
He also received a PhD. In Anatomy from the University of Illinois. He is listed in “Best Doctors in America.”
Prior to coming to the University of Washington in 1999, he was director of the epilepsy center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis.
He is board certified in neurology with added qualification in clinical neurophysiology (EEG). He is on the editorial boards of the journals neurology and neurotherapeutics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and of the American Neurological Association.
