Laligam Sekhar, MD

UW professor and vice-chairman of Neurological Surgery

Laligam Sekhar, MD

Dr. Sekhar is known around the world for his expertise in treating complex neurosurgical problems, particularly skull base tumors, such as acoustic neuromas, meningiomas, chordomas and complex brain tumors. He is also an expert on surgical treatment of blood vessel disorders in and around the brain.

Based at Harborview Medical Center, he is a UW professor and vice-chairman of Neurological Surgery. In addition, he is president of the World Federation of Skull Base Societies and president of the Washington State Association of Neurological Surgeons.
