Nicolae Leca, MD
Medical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation
Dr. Leca is a UW Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology.
Dr. Leca is the Medical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation at the University of Washington Medical Center. He currently chair’s the Renal Accreditation Committee of the American Society of Transplant Society and American Society of Nephrology and also serves on the United Network of Organ Sharing (UNOS), Kidney Transplantation Committee.
He earned his medical degree in Bucharest, Romania, followed by a medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Leca also completed two fellowships in nephrology and transplantation at the State University of New York in Buffalo. Research education includes a Certificate in clinical research methods from the School of Public Health at University of Washington.
