Nicole Zern, M.D. is a surgeon with the Endocrine Tumor Group at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. She also sees patients at the UW Eastside Clinic. Dr. Zern is a UW assistant professor of Surgery.
Dr. Zern specializes in endocrine surgery of the thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal glands. She believes the patient is the center of the team and all team members work towards a common goal of providing excellent communication, treatment and follow up. She is constantly inspired by her patients’ optimism and resolve.
Dr. Zern earned her M.D. from Emory University in Atlanta. She is an active member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and the Association for Academic Surgery.
Dr. Zern has clinical expertise in thyroid disease and adrenal tumors. Her research interests include outcomes in thyroid cancer.
