Sandeep Prakash Khot, MD, MPH

Sandeep Prakash Khot, MD, MPH

Sandeep Prakash Khot, M.D., M.P.H., is director of the Harborview Medical Center Consult Service. Dr. Khot is an expert in general neurology, vascular neurology and stroke. 

Dr. Khot earned his M.D. from Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana, where he also earned his master’s degree in public health and tropical medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship, neurology residency and a neurohospitalist and stroke fellowship at the University of Washington, Seattle. He is board-certified in neurology and vascular neurology.

Dr. Khot conducts clinical research on the relationship between sleep apnea and stroke, nutrition in stroke and rehabilitation after stroke. His other research interests include cardiac arrest, carotid dissection, intracranial atherosclerosis, giant cell arteritis and stroke. He also has an interest in the care of hospitalized patients with neurologic disease.

Dr. Khot is a UW associate professor of neurology.
