Dr. Kennedy is a hand, wrist and elbow surgeon at Harborview Medical Center, Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, and UW Medical Center. Dr. Kennedy treats problems of the hand, wrist, elbow and clavicle. This includes traumatic injuries of the bones and soft tissues, sports injuries, workplace injuries, arthritis, nerve problems, masses/cysts/tumors and/or tendon problems. He has a particular interest in problems of the wrist and elbow and receives referrals for management of complicated wrist and elbow injuries from other surgeons. Surgically, he performs arthroscopic, endoscopic, microsurgical and open techniques. He has expertise in repairing or reconstructing hands, wrists and elbows with available soft tissue, bone and joint replacement techniques. Dr. Kennedy is an assistant professor in the UW Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and an adjunct assistant professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery. He completed medical school and orthopedic residency at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, BC. This was followed by hand & microsurgery fellowship at the University of Washington, as well as an arthroscopy and sports medicine fellowship at the PanAm Clinic at the University of Manitoba. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in Orthopedic Surgery and has memberships in multiple organizations, including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Association for Hand Surgery, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Canadian Medical Association and the Canadian Orthopedic Association.
