Preventing Sudden Cardiac Arrest in Athletes and Young Adults

David S. Owens, MD, MS, has encountered a number of young people that have had sudden cardiac arrest and have fortunately been resuscitated and have survived, but he knows there’s a number of people who never make it to his clinic and have the same type of heart disease. This lecture focuses on the issues surrounding sudden cardiac arrest, some of the controversies, and the best methods of screening.
