Anna Kirby, MD, presents to help us understand the anatomy of vaginal support and when and why apical suspensions are indicated. She will describe the advantages and disadvantages of the most common surgeries for vaginal apical prolapse and how to counsel a patient considering surgery. Also, she will estimate the risk of de novo stress incontinence and the risks & benefits of continence surgery at the time of prolapse surgery.
